AL DIA Honors Hispanic Real Estate Professionals
HISPANIC PR - AL DIA Newspaper, the leading Spanish-language newspaper in the Northeast region, will be hosting a luncheon on February 22, 2006 at the Union League of Philadelphia, at 12:00 p.m. to honor Ms. Frances Martinez Myers, Chairman of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).
NAHREP is a 501 ( c ) 6 non-profit trade association with over 14,000 members and 39 chapters throughout the U.S. NAHREP's mission is to increase the U.S, Hispanic homeownership rate by empowering the real estate professionals that serve Hispanic consumers.
"As an industry NAHREP feels it is our duty to provide the tools and resources necessary to help real estate professionals more effectively reach out to the Latino community. Providing Hispanic consumers with clarity about the homebuying process protects them from predatory practices and empowers them to achieve the dream of homeownership and simultaneously allows them to build financial wealth. Hispanics are going to play a critical role in real estate over the next few years. It makes good business sense to properly prepare ourselves to meet the needs of Hispanics. There is no downside to homeownership. All the stake holders win," stated Ms. Martinez Myers.
This event will also mark the launching of AL DIA's Home Buying Guide for Hispanics in the Delaware Valley. The Home Buying guide will feature useful information on on available properties, tips on how to navigate the process and what to look for hen searching for a home.
"It is truly an honor for AL DIA to recognize Philadelphia's own Frances Martinez Myers. Her leadership in this critical time of increasing Hispanic homeownership is crucial for the empowerment of an entire community. AL DIA's Home Buying Guide for Hispanics in the Delaware Valley is a sign that our efforts are complementary and together, we can achieve much more than anyone thought possible," said Hernan Guaracao, Publisher of AL DIA.
